Any ideas what this is? Just a regular old blackbird I thought (grackle or a red-wing perhaps), but there is an awful lot of brown on its wing, tail and underside. Spotted today in Central Virginia.

Thanks, I had no idea on this one. I wish I had stuck around now and tried to get a better photo of him. Next time I'll know. Are they pretty common around here? (Richmond VA)

Pretty common but not often seen. They tend to stay in treetops, among the leaves. I had no idea how many Baltimore orioles I had around me until I learned their song. They're everywhere, but I don't often see them unless I'm looking for them.
