What is going on with this Indigo Bunting's beak?

I know it's not a seed. This was taken just a few minutes ago on my deck rail in East TN. Thanks!

Almost looks kinda Normal to me? But The lower bill is a little big?

: Swainson's Thrush, Summer Tanager, Blackburnian Warbler, Palm Warbler, Eastern Towhee, Red Headed Woodpecker, White Eyed Vireo, Red eyed Vireo, Least Flycatcher, Great Crested Flycatcher, Indigo Bunting, House Wren, Magnolia Wabler, Ruby Throated HummingBird, Spotted Sandpiper, Catbird, Brown Thrasher, Baltimore oriole, Orchard oriole, Wood thrush, Ovenbird.

Yes, it's HUGE compared to the top half. IS that normal for this bird?? I'm looking in my Audubon Field Guide and it looks like maybe that's normal. Hmmm... It looks so weird.

And I keep seeing this word on this site "lifers". What is a Lifer?

A lifer is a new bird to add to your life list. The first time you see a species, it's a lifer.
