Olympic Gull? (eg. Glaucous-winged x Western)

That's where I was with it as well. I was really hoping to grab a Western before we had to get off the cruise ship, but this was the closest I got.

With all the gull talk going on....bump for Psweet or Aberrant.
We still good with Olympic? Just wondering as I was expecting a much darker mantle for Western, but seeing some recent pics now I'm wondering.

I'm almost wondering if this might be a Herring Gull -- the gray on the back is just about right, and the wingtip pattern actually fits. I definitely wouldn't call it a pure Western -- even the northern race should be darker than this.
