way way up there.. jet had to be 30000 feet... how high can they fly.. he had to be up there 10000 feet at least

maybe its just a crow.. not as high.. but it was pretty much a spec by eye

And he's only a few hundred feet up -- at 10,000 feet (that's nearly 2 miles) he'd only be visible in a telescope.

hmm.. I dont know.. he was just a spec of black by eye.. maybe a couple thousand feet.. 200 feet I can fill the frame at 560MM

Is it possible to calculate the distance knowing the dimensions of the objects and focal length of the camera?
