Hi

Very interested in the iBird app for both my iPhone and Pad.

Is there a way to 'tick' (flag) birds you have seen?
I noticed a 'Favourites (or Favorites!!) - is that how you do it?

Cheers
Neil

I know this question was asked a while ago so this is a bit of a late response but I don't usually read the threads in this forum. Anyway, yes, you can create multiple lists using the favorites button. You first touch the "more" button on the toolbar, then "settings", then "select favorites list", then "edit. Now you can create and name a list. After naming your list you go back to "settings" then "select favorites list" again, tap the list title you want to add birds to then go back to "browse". When you find the bird you want to add to your list you tap that bird and you will be taken to that bird's species page, at the bottom of the page is a two-row toolbar, drag the toolbar to the left and you will see a star icon, tap the star and the bird will be added to your list, to remove the bird from the list tap the star again. I know it sounds complicated but it really isn't. On the "select favorites list" page it not only shows the list titles but the number of birds on the list as well, so if someone asks you in the field what your total for a particular list is you don't have to hear "Every birder should know their own numbers", which is what the president of the local Audubon chapter always used to say to me if I didn't have all of my numbers memorized.

iBird Pro also has an amazing array of calls and songs and IT'S STILL ON SALE FOR JUST $2.99!!!!! I HIGHLY recommend it!

New Year's Resolutions:
Get my lifelist to 300 (at the time of the original writing-293, currently-294)
Finally get Mountain Quail and Vesper Sparrow
Top my previous single year best (2011-253) I'm at 210 as of 6/11.

Hi Fisherman1313

I have since purchased both the UK and Americas versions (I live in the UK) and find them very good.
I had already figured out the use of favo(u)rites (Englishism!!) and have been adding all the birds I've spotted.

I got the American one too, as it was a bargain, and it's helping me identify the birds we saw on a recent trip over the pond, though a Humming bird is proving tricky!
Have even asked on here (with pictures)
