As a Thank You for the help I received in ID'ing a couple of birds here is the tagging/keyword template which I use in Adobe Lightroom - this is Ontario specific but I daresay these birds are probably in your neck of the woods too, if not, then use the template as you wish.
First - its an Excel worksheet which I find easier to manipulate than a text file
Second - you will need to convert the Excel worksheet to a text file before importing into Lightroom
Third - the square brackets identify the text within as a Category which will NOT display in Lightroom
Fourth - remove the brackets SHOULD you wish for that particular category to display
Fifth - in LIBRARY mode (in Lightroom) choose METADATA then IMPORT KEYWORDS
Sixth - point Lightroom to YOUR text file
Seventh - voila .. you're done
Eighth - keep your Excel file - make changes - convert to a text file then re-import.
Ninth - quod est demonstratum
Seems I've used up my Upload quota so I'll make other arrangements.
