Great Blue Heron?

Hi there, my friend who is not a birder sent me this photo last night, asking what bird this was
(the one in the middle of the photo); this was taken in the Bronx, NY. Seems to me it's a Great Blue Heron (he particularly noted being struck by the large size of it), but since it's from a distance, I wanted to confirm...

Its tough to see, but i'm pretty sure its a Yellow-Crowned Night Heron.

I agree with Billy. Posture, apparent size, and that yellow crown support Yellow-crowned Night-Heron. A much cooler bird than the Great Blue Heron, in my opinion. :)
