I think these are young Pewee/Flycatchers. They do have the dusky vest of a Pewee. The shots show white edges on the tail which doesn't show up in Sibley's. Any help would be great, may get out for a voice recording if I can find them again.
Oh yeah....yesterday north Texas.

Yes, a juvenile Wood-pewee is what I'd call them. You can see the yellow gape flange quite well in photo 2, and the long primary projection and broad tail fit Pewee nicely.
