Three pictures of different birds.
I saw these birds at Montlake Fill, Seattle (near Lake Washington), last Saturday (June 16) or Sunday (June 17).
I am wondering what kinds of birds they are.
Thanks for your help.

Why is the first bird not a juvenile Brewer's Blackbird? The breast looks far too clean for a young cowbird to me, though I may be wrong.

I think you may be right, I did not look that closely at the bill.

fisherman1313, Limpkin,

Thanks!
1) The first one was with this bird (attached picture). Now I think the newly attached picture is a female Brewer's Blackbird, and the first one is a juvenile Brewer's Blackbird.
(I had never seen Brewer's Blackbird.)
2) The second one seems female Brown-headed cowbird. Thanks, fisherman 1313. This is the first time I saw female Brown-headed cowbird.
3) I am not sure about the third one yet. My first guess was a juvenile savannah sparrow, since I saw lots of savannah sparrows at Montlake Fill. But, I cannot find a picture of juvenile savannah sparrow in my books...

If I'm applying my newfound technique from PoorMatty correctly, the sparrow is a juvenile Zonotrichia...(I'd guess White-Crowned based on location). Anyone else want to weigh in?

Edit: Agree with Juvie Brewer's Blackbird on the first. Bill is wrong for a cowbird.
Life List: 560

I would agree that the third is juvenile Zonotrichia, note the mandible shape and color and the eye strip.

Notice that each feather is dark blackish with a very broad rust-colored edge that blends gradually to creamy white near the tip.

Juvenile Savannah sparrows lack the gradual fade to white at the tips

TheBillyPilgrim,
Thanks.
I attach a picture (from a different angle) of the third bird.

RyanWarnerPa and TheBillyPilgrim,
Now I am convinced that the third one is a juvenile white-crowned sparrow.
I did see some (adult) white-crowned sparrows at Montlake Fill on the day, and took some pictures. Now I realized the feather color pattern is same.

Thank you very much!!
