I was up in Stratford, Ontario a coupkle of days ago, and I ran into this strange looking bird among the geese, swans and ducks. Is it a goose-swan? We have no clue! It's feet were just like a swans (big, orange and webbed) and it really did look like some sort of crested swan (do those exist?), but it's tail feathers were just like a goose, a brownish-gray colour. What the heck am I dealing with?

This is a Bar-headed Goose, native to Asia - almost certainly escaped captive (no records of wild Bar-headed Geese in Canada).

Wow, thanks Limpin! Woah... such a shame that it's stuck in Canada...
