This is a popular tree, this is where I saw my first grackle, Eastern Kingbird, Great Crested Flycatcher and more! I believe this is a Downy Woodpecker, if you could confirm for me I would be eternally grateful! Seen in upstate SC this evening

What I have learned so far.... just because you think that bird is just another _____ (house sparrow, chickadee, crow or whatever you are used to seeing) look a little closer... you just might be surprised!
