These three photos were taken on yesterday (6/23/12) at Bear Island WMA in Colleton County SC.

Thought that I had finally spotted my much sought after Roseate Spoonbill when this bird was seen far across the pond. It looked very pinkish. Could tell that the bill & the color was not right when it finally flew closer. It did not look like anything that I had seen so far so just grabbed a couple of shots so that I could try to ID later. The bird was hanging out very near but not with the Roseate Spoonbills when I did spot them around 8:30pm.

Is it what I think it is or am I way off base? My hopefully right ID is below.
