I can't see pink (appears gray to me), but the black bill suggests Roseate over Common/Forster's, yes?

Two things: one, the beak is black (just in case you thought it was pink!) and two, Roseate Terns are not found in DE. And there were no sightings on eBird.

That clean black trailing edge on the primaries pretty much rules out Roseate. The bill looks long for a Gull-billed, and they molt evenly across the head, so you shouldn't see the distinct black behind the eye at the same time as a white forehead. If I had to guess, I'd say a 1st year Common, but if you were a bit farther north, I'd be thinking Arctic instead.

I was thinking the belly might be pink, but I guess it must be gray. By location, it should be Common. Please share the more photos.

I think I agree with Liam -- the gray body and the location point towards Common.

So Common Tern then? Just making sure, cause the black bill was throwing me off. :)

I think Common is your best bet. Of course Grandpa's input is most welcome (you around?). He has a ton of experience with terns.

I agree Common is likely the best bet. Roseate would be well out of range at this point in the year.
