Today in my back garden I saw a black coloured bird ( about the size of a large blackbird ) with white stripes across his wings. It was a normal coloured beak not yellow like a black bird. At first glance i thought it was a young magpie, but it did not have a white frontage. Can anyone identify this for me please.

First, where are you? That makes a big difference in trying to ID a bird.

You're in England I presume? I was confused by the blackbird with a yellow beak, then realized that the species of blackbird in England have yellow beaks!

It could be a Blackbird with leucism.
