First time using SX40

Obviously I was letting the camera do all the work. Still, I can't complain since these birds were a half mile away... 35x zoom works for me!

Very nice pictures!

I've got the same camera and really like that zoom. Have you yet discovered the 8 shots a second? They're high quality. The sales person would have sold me on that feature alone, but it was a couple months ago we were birding with someone who had this camera and he told me about it.

I am happy with the photos I take, but this one thrilled me. We had just started getting our first hummies and the photos barely showed the blur of the wings, but in the right lighting and the 8x feature, I got wings!
