LOL! Someone needs to double check their work, or their bird knowledge. You should have drawn arrows on it. :)

That could be very confusing, especially for people with little or no knowledge of the two species!

We have borrowed her from our Descendants.

Maybe the Grackle just molted its tail - and half of its bill??? LOL

I saw a bird clock for sale here that had a different bird at each hour, ALL labeled wrong. I'm talking House Sparrow labeled as Blue Jay kinds of wrong! I could only hope that it was rejected as a defective product and sent here!

I saw a commercial the other day for one of those home improvement stores. (I won't say which one.). it showed 2 animated Northern Cardinals building a birdhouse. Don't these people do any research or do they enjoy looking foolish? Ii realize that the vast majority of consumers would not know the difference...but seriously?

Like to say that I am surprised but I am really not. Hate to say it but that sign has probably been there just like that for years. The sign reminds me of one that I have seen at one of the other WMA/Nature Centers here in SC. I will have to really look at the signs next time. That error might be on every sign at every nature center in SC.

Life list total~165

One seen but no photo...YET! (Chuck-will’s-widow ) & One heard only (Eastern Screech-Owl)
Yard list ~ 61

Work list ~ 105 (Office with a view)

Many Many Many Thanks to all here at Whatbird for your help extraordinaire...

I see this quite often. Simple mistakes that the sign-makers make, I think. I once saw a Red-tailed Hawk in a book listed as a Sooty Shearwater and vice versa.
