Hi All,

Pics taken in Southern British Columbia, in a cloudy day, and next to a pond. My best guess was Northern Waterthrush...

Thanks in advance.

Looks good. Not as much throat streaking as I usually see for them, but the supercilium looks right (narrow rather than broad) and La Waterthrush would be way out of range for you.

A Palm Warbler should have a fair bit of yellow underneath, as well as much finer streaking.

Anywhere during this time of year, an adult Palm Warbler would be very yellow, whether Eastern or Western subspecies. Palm Warblers of all ages have yellow undertail coverts.
Needless to say, I agree with Northern Waterthrush.

Thanks all for the confirmation.

@Parula: I can also confirm that during its flight I didn't see clear yellow coloring in it. But anyway, thanks for broadening the discussion.
