I got this bird in southern Michigan in late May. What bird is it? The underpart of the tail is not as red as that of Baltimore Oriole.

Still appears to be a Baltimore. Did you enjoy southern Michigan? I heard it's a nice place :)

I'm not thinking straight today, I think meghann has a point

Can I ask why this wouldn't be an Orchard?

I was wondering, too, at least the under part of the tail is not red, but am not sure. It would be easier if I can see if it has wing bars or not.

I've never seen an Orchard; but that was my guess too. The orange seems much redder than a Baltimore (but I know color can lie to you) and I don't see the black head coming to a point at the upper chest. But what do I know????

I got this picture in Ann Arbor along the Huron River. It was nice in May but now it is hot.
