I finally have a decent capture of the bird song that is driving me up the wall. I chased this bird around all morning trying to get a picture of it. I finally gave up and got in the car to leave. It started singing out of dense thicket of Russian Olives right next to the car. Try as I might I could not get a picture of this bird! ARGH!!!!
If anyone can identify this bird I would be eternally grateful.

Edit: Eripma is quite right, Yellow-breasted Chat is a much better match. Ignore my addled identification attempt.

Sounds like you have a Yellow-breasted Chat. A Spotted Towhee also sings a couple of times.

I think that Towhee was romancing me. He kept following me when I was trying to get a capture of his little singing buddy.
