This one is proving a bit troublesome. The streaking goes too far up its breast to be a red tailed. Dark eye points away from Sharpie or Coopers. Maybe a juvie red-shouldered or could be red-tailed. (South east VA today)

Young Red-shouldered. In the first pic you can see the translucent "windows" at the base of the primaries, where the light is showing through. Plus a Red-tailed would show the dark markings on the leading edge of the undersides of the wings in this position.

My guess is juvie red-shouldered. Wait for someone else, though.

Edit- Posted the same time as creeker. I was right, huzzah!

Not necessarily! You're assuming I'm right. ;)

Another for juvie Red-shouldered. Just a quick point, though. As creeker pointed out, you can see the pale base to the outer primaries, forming a line or crescent. Immature Red-tails and Broad-wings also show pale primaries from below, but the pale panel includes most of the primaries, forming a rectangular panel rather than the slender crescent in Red-shoulders.

Ok, but now psweet says it's a juvie red shouldered, too. I'm standing by my celebratory stance on being correct.
