Hi all! It's me again :)

Would you please help me once again?

I have not received my field guides in the mail yet so my guesses are based on what I have found on the internet.

I believe I have a female Anna's hummingbird, a Barn Swallow (the pics don't show it but the tail is distinctly forked and the flight pattern seems to fit the description), and maybe some sort of flycatcher?

The last pic has a whitish bird that I swear looks like an owl!!! But it is too small and I don't think owls are so common where I am. Of course I am such a newbie to this whole thing that I could be wrong on all counts.

Thank you so much for your help. I am enjoying myself so much with this :)

Thank you! That is so funny that I thought the barn swallows were two different birds :/ I am glad you identified the white one. He may be just a house finch (which sounds like a common bird name) but he looked super cool in the pic :)

The barn swallows look like two different birds in part because the paler one is a juvenile -- just got out of the nest. You can tell by the yellow fleshy "flanges" at the corner of the bill -- those help trigger the feeding instinct in the parents.

Your hummer does look like an Anna's. The House Finch is a female, by the way.

I thought it looked more confused.

haha right?? But the swallows were swooping down really close to other birds. I am sure that would unnerve me a bit too!
