Found a baby CA Towhee - mom was close by and I put it back in the bushes near where I found it, but I can't find the nest. It can't fly, but it looks close to it and appears to be healthy. Mom was around but now she is nowhere to be seen. It's getting later here . . . any ideas?????? I am worried about the poor little thing.

I agree with dancingbear. The best thing to do is leave it be and let the parents take care of it.
