Found a baby bird. Need help!

I need help on identifying this bird. It is about 4 and a half inches long.
And also, I would really appreciate some advice on how to take proper care of it and raise it as I know nothing about birds.
Thank you very much(:

A 4.5" bird could be anything. Could you describe it in more depth or possibly post a picture? It's not technically legal to raise a bird you found in the wild, unless it's a nonprotected species, such as a Starling or a House Sparrow.
My advice for you would be to put the bird back where you found it and wait until the parents show up. The will take care of it, even after you've kept it in the house for a day or two. If the parents don't show up, or if the bird is injured or sick, you should take it to your local rehab center for wildlife.
