Hi, this bird has been sitting in our backyard for about 2 hours now. We're in Maryland. Any help appreciated!

Welcome to Whatbird. I believe this is a Juvenile Red-tailed Hawk. You can see some of the red coming in on the tail in the last photo. Others marks that I see are the streaked belly band and the finely banded tail. Wait for some more opinions, because I'm never 100% sure with most hawks. Someone will either confirm or correct my thinking.

Agree with juvenile Red-tail, but I'll point out that this amount of red on the tail is not uncommon on juvies. The red will come in with the new feathers -- once a feather has grown in, it will only change color by wear, bleaching, or staining.
