colorado has tradeing programs with a number of states and several other countrys. over the last decade we have traded for several hundred lynx from Alaska and Canada. so we have went from extinct to a bunch of breeding pairs mostly in the wilderness and deep forests but they roan around and several have been photographed visiting Durango. there were even a few spotted or tracked by radio heading back to Alaska and Canada. i have been lucky to see several around two mountain resevoirs not too far from here and they are a site to see.
