I swear we had a ton of birds around here until I started paying attention to them haha. Even my son mentioned this to me. We even made a homemade bird feeder and put out water and they avoid us like the plague.
Ah well, we are going to a wildlife sanctuary on Friday to do a bird count. Hopefully with an experienced birder, we will see something cool.

I agree 100%!! If you see the same bird every day as you're driving down the road, it will fail to show the day you bring your binoculars.

haha I can see that! I seem to have a ton of them around... none that want to eat the nice seed I put out for them but still :/
