peterson has a CD with eastern and central bird calls. the only part I dont like about it is that they are all jumbled together. stokes has some, and smithsonian

I want them on my ipod. . . so I can play them in the field. (and hear birds every where i go!)

What kind of iPod do you have? If you have an iPod Touch you can purchase Any of the ibird apps that have tons of songs and calls for almost every bird as well as illustrations, photos, range maps and data. You can read all about what is available here. http://www.ibird.com/
If you have an older ipod you might be able to run bird jam on it but you will need to research that as I have not used it.

All of them do. There are many versions available depending on your needs. Pro and Plus have 926 species and the regional versions vary. I got pro on my sis' ipad. . . and I can't find the calls. . .

JimBob, go to the browser and select a bird.
Click on that bird and the drawing of the bird appears.
On the bottom left is a megaphone, click on that and that takes you to the bird sounds.

JimBob, I use the calls and songs from iBird Pro frequently when I am out photographing birds. Normally I hang a couple speakers out my pickup window, and play the calls from my iPad. It works very well to bring the birds in close...sometimes too well!

Well, I was kind of planning ahead. . . I don't have an ipod yet, but my brothers Ipod touch on this Wednesday, or Thursday. . .

The ipod should be here today. . . and even though it's not on a huge sale, I'll get ibird pro. When I buy it I know i'm supporting a great website. Thanks for whatbird, Mitch, Bigfoot, janeybug, and who ever else i missed.
