The old salt ponds in the Bay Area of CA are a real blight on the landscape. It will be great to see more of them turned back into marsh. What this article does not talk about is the possibility that this could also help our native oyster population that is nearly extinct.
I think we all know how Ducks Unlimited has helped our country restore our wetlands for the survival of many migrant and resident birds and other wildlife.
