--re-posting to this forum--

I notice that some users have full-size images embedded within their posts...no thumbnail, no flickr reference, just the image. How is this achieved, and are the images stored by whatbird, and thus limited by storage allocation?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks. Aren't you limited to 2MB of storage? I am, and so I'm using smaller images and thumbnails.

members that have full size photos are using the Remote attachment method, like Imgur or Picassa or Flickr. There are instructions how to use these in the FAQ section.

Right, thanks. I tried using Flickr. The result is that the image is somewhat smaller than the image size on flickr, and when clicked, it takes the user to the flickr page. I'm wondering how to display just the larger image size, with no link.

Try using Imgur, no link setup, just copy the link in the Imgur page and post the link in Whatbird, the system takes care of it. It shows up full size and the posted link turns into the photo.

Thanks. You're the third to recommend Imgur, so I'll try it out.
