Rare bird on a NYS waterfront...might be a loon?!

That is the best footage i have of it right now...i do have a couple pictures however if that video isnt good enough. I saw this bird on a small bay off of lake ontario in upstate NY.

This is a Cormorant, Double-crested by range.

Double-crested Cormorant seconded, note the hooked bill.

Yes, DC Cormorant there... not at all rare.

Would a Loon really be that rare of a find right now at the Great Lakes? I had several common loons just over the weekend down at the shore....

A Common Loon probably wouldn't be that rare in upstate NY, but here at the south end of Lake Michigan it would be a surprise for another couple of months.
