I'm not the domestic expert - but maybe a Checkered Giant? This sucker was a lot larger than my puppies. He had to be close to 15lbs and stand close to 30cm when he stood up. Big Bunny.

I first saw him when he set off the motion detection on my security cameras, "knocking" on my front door at 3am.

He's been sleeping in a hollow under the tree out front, and I've been laying a wet towel out there for him a couple times a day to cool down. I'd catch him and bring him in, but Grem-Russell Terrorist puppies and bunnies don't mix well.

I doubt it's a purebred Checker - the markings would be very poor. Probably from a long line of mutts, with some Flemish behind it. A shot from the side would be more helpful, though.
