What egret or heron?

I saw these yesterday in Vermont. There were 4 great egrets and it looked like a great blue heron. What is the bird on the left on the branch of the dead tree?

Left is a Double-Crested Cormorant, right is a Great Blue Heron.
Life List: 560

Latest birds: Purple Sandpiper, Ross's Goose, White-winged Crossbill,

Wow, I was finally able to identify a bird on this forum!
I can finally say those inimitable words: "agree with Double Crested Cormorant"
