I've started this forum for users of the Droid, Droid X and other members of the Droid family. We find that of all the Android smartphones the Droid seems to have the most difficulty with iBird so the the hope is that Droid users having problems can use this forum to help each other.

One thing we suggest is to try and remove as many background processes and turn off apps that are using RAM memory. This is the smaller amount of memory the internal CPU uses and usually is 128, 256 or 512 MB. Don't confuse it with storage RAM which is in the Gigabytes and is where apps are stored. If this memory is too crowded there may not be enough room for iBird to run.

The only problem I've really noticed is that iBird crashes (sometimes) when playing sounds... it doesn't happen all the time, not sure what causes it, but my droid x will sometimes completely reboot itself on its own when I'm playing birdcalls

I have an HTC Droid Incredible which seemed to erase the previous version of bird, so I downloaded Bird Pro 3 today. The download went fine, but the extraction process has failed 3 times after running about 80%. I have as few apps running as I can manage. Anyone else had this issue? Hope someone has managed it.
