Hello all,

Processing the mass of images gathered at Bombay Hook NWR in Delaware on 8.7.12 and verifying IDs. The two flycatchers I would like confirmation and the juvenile something I am clueless but would guess Red-winged Blackbird.

I checked eBird and there where a couple (as in 2 or 4) Bobolink reported at Bombay Hook in the past week. Someone who likes to put a lot of codes and descriptions into eBird said "Adult, Male; Alternate Plumage" with a breeding code of "F Flyover". I don't know if that bird can fly with no tail. I can't find any pictures of tailless birds when I google "Bobolink Molt".

First, are you further confirming #3 is a Bobolink? Second, it was in the reeds on the right left side of Shearness Pool (left side as you come from Raymond Pool. It was just bopping from reed to reed then staring at the car without a care in the world...

I hate to do this so please forgive me, but can I get some more eyes on picture number three, id'ed here as a Molting Bobolink? I keep googling variations on Bobolink but they just don't seem to match well. And what about the completely missing tail? I can't find any molting Bobolink pictures with no tail. Bobolink would be a lifer for both me and my mother who came along for the trip to Bombay Hook and I would hate to add it and be wrong. EBird does report roughly 2-4 individuals at the refuge within a few days of my visit. On one checklist they are listed as "Adult, Male, Alternative Plumage" and "F Flyover".

Thank you all.

I'm fine with that being a Bobolink. With the bill and coloration I'm not really sure what else that would be.
