Hello friendly birders. Looking for help with an ID on a bird I saw today (sorry, do not have a picture): Grey bird with slightly lighter underparts. Dark blue-teal bars on wings and back. When he stretched, I also saw dark blue flight feathers. Spotted him in Ft. Washington Park near Philadelphia, PA. Blue spots did not seem to be exactly symmetrical which lead me to believe it may be a juvenile of some kind? Any help would be greatly appreciated! New to birding and very excited about everything I see!

Gray bird with blue on wings and back, in PA, sounds like a blue jay

Thanks, and a very good guess based on my description. But definitely not a blue-jay. Much smaller in size - closer to a sparrow size/shape. And far more grey than blue.

Light grey or dark grey? Could be an indigo bunting or an eastern bluebird molting into it's adult plumage.

Maybe an Eastern Bluebird, juvie or female.

Dark grey (could have been more of a grey-brown too, it was not ideal lighting). Looked at some pics of juvenile indigo buntings and this seems to be pretty close... will continue to look.

That sounds about right. Not much else that size that has blue in it.

Any chance it's a White Breasted Nuthatch?

Cerulean Warbler by chance. I've had a family of these in central PA and it took a bit for me to figure them out.

Yes, upon further research (aka, image searching) I am almost positive it was a juvenile indigo bunting. Thank you everyone for the input!
