Maine Ocean Bird

This bird has the same coloration as a Northern Gannet but it looks bigger. It was photographed in Maine on the open water a ways off shore. Can anyone confirm?

Northern Gannet -- size can be very tough to judge on flying birds, especially out at sea where you don't have any reference.

Northern Gannet. These guys always surprise me with how big they are, personally.
