What's up with this Black Vulture? He has a ring of white feathers around his neck....

Definitely a Black Vulture, but I'm not sure what's going on with the neck - maybe some partial amelanism? Whatever it is, it looks very cool! It looks like Black Vultures do end up with some amelanism now and then: http://www.birds.cor...rdsi/bv_leu.jpg (not my photo)

Edit: Amelanism/leucism, that is. Same thing.

This bird looks partially leucistic, you can see a few white feathers on the wings as well. (check this link for an explanation of leusicm http://www.birds.cor...ism_Leucism.htm)
