Arizona flycatcher

This was taken Aug 10 in Huachuca canyon (SE Arizona). Most of the flycatchers were peewee's. This one has a buff color but perhaps it is the bright light? Thanks.

Looks too small-billed for a Peewee to me. With that buffy color, I think Buff-Breasted is a good bet. Any shot of the pp?

Agree with BillyPilgrim, this looks like a Buff-breasted, and you're definitely in the right spot.

Not sure what "pp" is? Post-processing, perhaps. If so, I did make some adjustments to exposure.

In this case, pp refers to the primary projection, or how far the longest primaries extend beyond the secondaries/tertials on the folded wing. For some of the flycatchers, its a very useful field mark.

"pp" means primary projection. :)
