I scoured thousands of peeps today at Plymouth Beach in Massachusetts. Is this a possible Western Sandpiper (left-center)? The bill looks droopy, but I'm not good with the other ID features of this species.

I'm far from expert but I'd say semipalmated (they can very in bill size between individuals) and not quite long enough for a western - but wait on other opinions.

It has a semi-p feel to me but its not a great angle to judge bill length

I don't see any plumage features and the bill isn't long enough to rule out Semipalmated. I couldn't call these Westerns.

I agree that this can't be called a Western. It through me though with that bill.

Thanks everyone!
