Maybe an award for each of 'em? Most imaginative, most colorful, most realistic, etc., etc.,...

Yeah, I just gave up on the under 18's! For one thing, there's a big difference between 9 & 18 year-olds...

I agree with this. Maybe a few sub catagories for the 18 and under
Or a place to offer a critique at the end.

My opinion is that everyone under the age of 18 get an award! All the drawings are great, and the object is, of course, to foster the love and awareness of birds! I love all the art work, so I vote for everyone!!!

No way! Bigfoot can't afford to give away that many free posts!

I sympathize with this idea, but I respectfully disagree. It is part of the nature of a contest that some people win and some don't; and not getting everything you try for is part of life. If everyone wins, no one wins; and if you don't want to run the risk of not winning you shouldn't enter a contest (but your life will be diminished if that is always your choice!)
As a special education teacher, I try to teach my students to participate and be proud of their efforts no matter what the result, and of course to enjoy it when they win! I certainly agree that all of the entrants should be proud of their work and of having taken a risk by entering it. I had a very difficult time choosing among the under-18 entries; they were very, very good. I, too, wished I could have voted for more than one, but that's not how the contest works!

We did consider another age category, but this contest is in the books. At a later date we surely will repute this contest and then we will have at least one additional age group.

Maybe we could have a category for Bigfoot, like cave paintings.

You know what, to have a 'cave painting' theme would be quite fun!

Cave difficult to find now, too many Anthropologists, all that digging, and they don't even knock before they come into your home. No manners. They love digging, even in places that I would not dig.
