This pic is over 10 years old - way before I was actively interested in birds. My wife was showing old vacation slides to my kids when i got home from work and this was one of them. I used my camera to snap a flash picture of a slide. The slide is gorgeous but this pic is horrible. If this is indeed a Raven I'll get the slide digitized correctly and keep it as I haven't gotten a pic of a Raven yet.

That beak has to say Common Raven right?

I love to drive to Canyon de Chelly and watch the ravens flip upside down and do acrobatics in the air overlooking Spider Rock. I plan on going next summer to capture some of their antics.

Thanks everyone.

I looked for a long time to find one around here. It's funny to know I had been 3 feet away from one six years before and not even realized it!

Take the slide to almost any drug store and they can do a pretty good job scanning it to disk or make a print. I've done that with a lot of old slides. Here's a sample of an old slide I had scanned (Golden Eagle on the WY/CO border):

Wow, love this! Something about the film adds a perfect touch here.
