I just put new seeds in my two bird feeders. I find that the Nuthatches go to mostly one of them and are very protective of the feeder they go to. I notice that whenever the see a chickadee get close to the feeder, they chase it away. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Haven't had that with the Nuthatches, but you should hear the Cardinals hiss when someone comes up they don't want there. That and the crazy Hummingbird that chases the Bluejays when they show up. What fun to watch.

I thought our Hummingbirds were bold to chase off House Wrens and Yellow Warblers that happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.
