Mitch Waite has posted a chart that allows members or guests to view competing application to the iBird Journal.

There is a sneak preview of a new product from Mitch Waite Group in the Mobile device forum. Mitch put together a table that compares a number of observation apps. Check it out:

The list looks good. I can't use apps, so I have no use, but if I could use apps, the list definitely makes it easier to decide which one I would use.

I am just hoping this means the Waite Group is closer to the launch! Looking forward to it!

I have no knowledge of the Launch date but I have the Beta version, and I'm excited about the capabilities of the iBird Journal

I have many lists, Yard Bird, Life Lists, Trip Lists, and even CBC Lists. (Christmas Bird Count). This application provides an opportunity to consolidate the information and to carry it with you. There too is regular communication between the other iBird Applications. Hopefully the Launch will be soon.

So you're actually a birder? You seemed more like a mid-20s guy who found an online job where he could have fun goofing around, being "Bigfoot" and all. . . XD
ABA list: 295 Latest: Swamp Sparrow
2013: 220

Yard List: 85 Latest: Violet-green Swallow, Tricolored Blackbird

Thank you JimBob, If you view my profile, I'm 99 years old and am happy to have this job, because it pays very well, but money is not a part of a Simian's lifestyle. I do enjoy Goofing Around however. Some time, you may begin to understand more.

I find it a bit ironic that the app titled "Lifebirds" does not include a lifelist. Do you have any specific recommendations apart from the data on the table?

S.Clara County: 170
Photographed: 221
Latest: Sage Sparrow, Hairy Woodpecker (finally) (5/16), Hammond's Flycatcher, Pacific-slope Flycatcher, Nashville Warbler, Wilson's Warbler, Orange-crowned Warbler, Lazuli Bunting, Blue-gray Gnatcatcher, House Wren (4/28), Pigeon Guillemot, Brant (4/14)

Snick

This list is what is out there in the market, iBird Journal has not launched yet. Perhaps soon. This is a list of applications that Mitch would like you to view, so you will be able to compare capabilities.
