Northeast Texas 9/7/12

I have been trying to get one for awhile now. When they have been in the field with the cows, they have always been so far away I could not get a good shot without trespassing. Well today they were by the road and I could only get the one shot, so I hope it's good enough for an Confirmed ID.

Yep. Cattle Egrets.

(HINT: The cow is a dead giveaway. :) )

We see Cattle Egrets all the time in South East Florida...but NEVER close to a cow ... Glad to know it happens.
Guess I'll have to wander out through the cattle farms instead of the Ag fields to find Cattle Es with Cattle :D

On Oahu, cattle egrets are everywhere! In neighborhoods on lawns, by the side of the road, on the medians of busy roads in town. It's pretty funny where you'll see them.
