Without seeing the tail I'm not sure, but I think this is a Wrentit. Look at this other recent post from Oregon.

Pale iris, coloration and bill says Wrentit for me.

Where were those taken, zoutedrop? The first one looks like a Herring Gull, but with no location and no view of the upperside I wouldn't want to say for sure. The second one looks like a Pelagic, alright, and anywhere you might see a Pelagic you could find several other gulls.

Hi Liam, thanks. I've been busy with two iBird assignments and this vacation to Oregon, which sadly was not a birding trip. Beautiful state though.

Any thoughts on the last gull posted anyone (two more shots below)? I am not familiar with IDing gulls, maybe these angles are not diagnostic. The underwing pattern seems clear, but I could not find a match in Sibley's.
