Always wants to download database... Can't run

I have downloaded the entire database... however, every time I try to run iBird it wants to DL the database again... Sometimes, I may have 3G access, but of course it insists on WiFi, and thus won't run.
When I am connected to my WiFi, it will download the database, and everything is great... until next time I'm away, and again it insists on WiFi to DL the database again.
I have tried removing the application and reinstalling. I thought that would do the trick. No luck.
I'm on a DroidX (original), running Gingerbread. Stock.

I have a similar problem. The database download never finishes and I cannot open my app without it.
Thanks for the report, we are aware of the issue and are working on the solution.
