Insistence on WiFi is very annoying

3 posts in this topic

Hi. It really bothers me that iBird Pro insists on using WiFi to download the entire database.

In my case, my most common WiFi is a wifi router, which is accessing Verizon Mobile Broadband, with a 5 gig monthly limit.

On my phone, my 3G is also Verizon Wireless, but with unlimited Internet.

Thus for me, using WiFi gives the same performance, but costs me extra.

Could you kindly eliminate the requirement for WiFi.

Thanks for considering this.

The newest beta does not insist on WiFi. The danger is those people who don't have WiFi may use up there entire allocation of cellular bandwidth with iBird. But we have decided that all we can do is warn them.
