Hi Everyone,
Went to a park today looking for a Blackpoll Warbler that was way out of range that had been reported by a bird counter on ebird at this location last Friday. Came across this one. Eye doesn't look like a Blackpoll to me, but wondering what it is. Have any idea? Los Angeles area, today. thanks in advance for your help!

It looks like it might be. I was thinking they weren't in the L.A. area, but it could be passing through.

I'm thinking Western. Mountain have very long, narrow primaries.

Thanks for all the input so far. An added piece of information, now that I know it is some kind of bluebird. People from Pasadena Audubon come here regularly and do counts for ebird. I have seen Westerns in the counts many times, but no Mountains. Doesn't mean this couldn't be one, but just more information. I have another shot of the back if that would help.

Another pic might be helpful. . . I think it's a Western Bluebird too.

Ok, here's a shot of the back from another angle. The low light doesn't help any.

Agree with Western Bluebird. Note the rufous belly.
