Last bird looks like a Chipping, to me, with the dark lores and red-brown cap. A Field would have a much more unmarked face.

Can we eliminate Mountain Bluebird for the top one?

Chipping Sparrow, It would get me excited if I saw it here because it looks a lot like Clay-colored but it's not.

Yes, we can eliminate Mountain Bluebird for the first one -- the primaries are too short and broad, and it looks like there's quite a bit of rusty color underneath. And I agree with both Clark's and Western Grebes.
