What else comes to a sock type finch feeder besides house finches and lesser and American goldfinches. I just looked out at my sock feeder and there was a tiny little gray bird. Very cute with no red and no streaky markings. It was smaller than a house finch as well. I tried to get a picture put it was completely out of focus. And then the little thing flew away. Any ideas what it might have been? Oh and the sock feeders is filled with nyjer.
What else comes too....

I agree, a titmouse like an Oak Titmouse. I have seen them on a sock feeder before.

Yeah maybe a titmouse. I don't remembering see any little tuft on the head like a titmouse but it was the right color and size. I really wish it had stayed just little longer. I checked for it frequently the rest of the day but it did not return that I know of.

In a lucky winter you might get a Common Redpoll on it.
